Different Ways to Use Decorative Screen Panels

Privacy-20

If you’re looking to spruce up your space, Barrette Outdoor Living’s Decorative Screen Panels (DSPs) might be the solution. They provide semi-privacy while also enhancing the aesthetic of your indoor and outdoor spaces. Before installing DSPs in your home, learn many of the ways they can be used first.

Perks of Decorative Screen Panels

DSPs are available in 2’ x 4’ and 3’ x 6’ sizes, depending upon design, and are 0.3” thick, making them super durable. Made of polypropylene, DSPs are tolerant to climate change, with low thermal expansion and contraction. This means they can withstand all types of weather from cold, snowy winters in New England to rainy days in the Pacific Northwest.

The seven styles — including Boardwalk, Morse, Fretwork, Slate, River Rock, Optic and Sprig — are sleek and modern or natural and whimsical. The Boardwalk design features a 3D effect which provides depth for added dimension. With designs available in five colors — White, Clay, Saddle, Brazilian Walnut, and Black — DSPs are also designed with a matte, textured finish that can be painted, so you can customize the look to match your style.

Once you’ve picked your design and color, you’ll need to decide how to use your DSPs.

Hang

DSPs can be used as decorative accents both indoors and out, and can be hung both horizontally or vertically. You can also stack several panels horizontally and hang them from the ceiling or roof to create a divider that breaks up a space and offers privacy. Outside your home, they work perfectly on porches or in gazebos, especially when hung vertically between your railing and roof.

Frame

With Barrette Outdoor Living’s Decorative Screen Panel Frame Kit, you can connect and stack one, two or three DSPs horizontally to create a custom configured privacy screen just about anywhere you want it. If you stack three DSPs, you can create a screen that is over 6’ tall.

DSPs work well around hot tubs or in other parts of your yard, porch or patio where you are looking for some privacy. They can also frame out a private corner of your deck or inside a room. DSPs can also be used as room dividers, especially when you want to close off an area for pets or kids, or need privacy in your home or office space.

Our compatible matte black frame kit is made from powder-coated aluminum and can be mounted onto any flat surface mounted.

Under Deck

While lattice is a popular option for under deck privacy, DSPs provide an even more durable option with stylish designs. DSPs are twice as thick as lattice and provide a more stylish look than the traditional patterns you’ll find on plastic or wood lattice. Plus, with several patterns and colors, you can get creative around the outside of your deck.

DSPs are low-maintenance and can withstand scratches, rotting, warping, twisting, splitting and discoloration. With so many versatile ways to hang, frame and style DSPs inside your home, around your patio/porch or under your deck, it is easy to find a way to incorporate them into your lifestyle.
